Protecting Our Employees
The
Department of Labor and Workforce Development awarded UniSea, Inc. of Dutch Harbor Merit
Status under the Alaska Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Voluntary Protection Program
(VPP).
VPP is a program designed to voluntarily submit a plant-specific protection program to protect
the employee. Through VPP the plant becomes a safer place to work through hazard
awareness/training programs, safe working environments, and extensive ergonomic research
to benefit all employees.
