Basic Function:
Utilize a formal understanding of business and accounting concepts and an intimate knowledge of data analysis to analyze business operations. Assist in the preparation of regulatory/management reporting and annual operating plan. Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement by identifying and analyzing cost drivers and variances to provide valuable insights to management.
Essential Duties:
- Provide timely, relevant, and accurate financial reporting, management reporting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions.
- Conduct accurate and timely analysis for various projects and processes within the organization.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of data for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide cost-effective solutions.
- Define and configure accounting reports using our ERP system and/or standard reporting tools.
- Plan and forecast business decisions based on factors related to all facets of our business environment.
- Organize and prioritize assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and to meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, share knowledge and build relationships within the organization to become a trusted business partner.
Secondary Duties:
- Assist other members of the department with tasks when deadlines approach.
- Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
- Assist in account reconciliations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
- May require travel to Alaska on short notice for one to several weeks at a time.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Degrees with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting and financial analysis experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have advanced proficiency in Excel or other similar spreadsheet programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to coordinate with other departments and outside organizations.
- During audit season and various times during the year, increased work hours may be required to meet deadlines.
- This position will require occasional travel to Dutch Harbor, Alaska for one to several weeks at a time. These trips may be scheduled on short notice.
- This position is located at our Corporate Office in Redmond, WA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
This is a salaried exempt position with a salary of $94,395 – $113,290 per year.
