Processor II

Basic Function

Performs duties in processing seafood with a higher level of skill including fish grading, tallying, sawing, filleting, and equipment operation.

Essential Duties:

  1. Grades and differentiates between all species of fish with a general understanding of quality specifications.
  2. Follows proper documentation procedures for related production jobs. This includes box tallies and production orders.                    
  3. Performs cutting procedures properly for various products in a productive and efficient manner. Ability to use saw, knife, and other production equipment properly.
  4. Uses a knife for removal of belly, bones, collars, fins, and undercuts for filleting.               
  5. Operates all equipment pertaining to production. Ensures safe and efficient operation while adhering to production guidelines for quality and quantity.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in physical general labor jobs. 
  • Must be able to manually lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds. Production room is 50 degrees or colder; floor can be wet.
  • UniSea requires all employees to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or have an approved medical or religious accommodation. 
  • Must be able to work 6:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday – Thursday.

This is an hourly non-exempt position with the starting pay of $18.60 per hour. The wage range for this position is $18.60 – $21.10.
